Unique Agreement for Pegasus with Horncastle Homes26/08/2013 - Development
Leading Canterbury homebuilder, Horncastle Homes, and Todd Property Group have entered into a unique agreement to deliver turn-key homes for sale at Pegasus.
The first stage of the agreement starts this month with the first eight homes ready for occupation early 2014. Homes developed under this agreement will be released in limited numbers, with both parties anticipating strong demand for the offering.
“The market is telling us that they want a quality finished product,” said Evan Davies, Managing Director of Todd Property Group.
“This new agreement enables us to deliver individually designed, quality built Horncastle homes at Pegasus in a very streamlined fashion.
“We will organize the design, consents, construction, landscaping and delivery of these properties to the homebuyers in a single, seamless transaction.
“We are using our joint strength to create architecturally designed homes backed by a master build guarantee, for a market wanting quick occupation,” Davies said.
The agreement will be geared up to deliver finished homes within four months of the laying of foundations to occupation. Prices for the first homes to be developed under the agreement start from $535,000 for a four-bedroom, two bathroom, two living area home on a 602sqm section.
“Buyers will have the option to get involved early on in the selection of fittings and finishings or they can simply move in when the house is completed,” said Davies.
The confidence of dealing with two market leaders will be a major driver for buyers in taking up this opportunity, according to Bill Horncastle, Managing Director of Horncastle Homes.
“Todd Property Group’s success has come from delivering a high quality product. That is also key to Horncastle Homes success in becoming one of Canterbury’s leading building companies. There is a real synergy between the two companies,” he said.
“Together we are going to deliver the right houses on the right sections for a market looking for their dream home in Pegasus,” he said.
Bill Horncastle also noted the recently announced commitment to complete the town centre as an important part of the total Pegasus offering.
“We know that the commercial and retail town centre will be developed to a very high standard and attract top-quality tenants because of the Todd Property ownership of the town,” he said.
“Add that to the school, the lake, the golf course and the significant other infrastructure at Pegasus and it makes the town a highly attractive option for home buyers.”
According to Todd Property Group, the new agreement with Horncastle Homes will complement the delivery of homes already under construction by existing builders at Pegasus.
“Pegasus enjoys the support of the leading builders in the region in delivering a wide range of quality homes within the town,” said Davies.
“This agreement with Horncastle Homes will address the demand for finished product at Pegasus and ensure we can meet the needs of the widest possible range of potential buyers in the town,” he said.
